Who is behind this site?
The Accountability Lab is written and run by Matt Schmitt, a member of The Operator Standard team. That is a material connection: the site owner works with the company behind one of the AI accountability apps discussed here, ARCANE AI in The Operator Standard. Read everything on this site with that in mind.
How do the links work?
Links to The Operator Standard go through /go/app, which redirects to a tracked link. That tracking shows that a visit or sign-up came from this site, and sign-ups may be credited to the site owner. These links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow". Links to every other app or source are plain links with no tracking and no payment.
Does this affect what you pay?
No. Following a tracked link doesn't change the price you pay. Prices on this site are the published prices on each app's own page or store listing on the date shown, and the price at checkout is the one that counts. If there is ever a code or offer tied to our link, we will say so on the page.
How are other apps treated?
Other apps are described only from their own pricing pages, feature pages and store listings, with the check date stated. We don't publish invented test scores, ratings or testimonials, and we include free and human options even when they compete with the app we work on. Details are in the methodology.
